Don't Buy a Whirlpool Washer

My advice is "don't by a Whirlpool washing machine" (or Maytag since its made by Whirlpool). First I had a Maytag Neptune that built up mold and mildew on the inside of the machine, so all of my clothes smelled horrible. Once I figured it out, I bought a new washing machine -- a new and supposedly updated Whirlpool model: WTW6700. This machine was supposed to be state-of-the-art and not have any problems with mold. Guess what? It does! So I promptly tried to reach Whirlpool's customer service, but they don't post a phone number on their website. I emailed them my complaint and received a "canned" letter saying that I should use a product that can eliminate the mildew and mold. My question: why build a washing machine that promotes the growth of mold? What is Whirlpool doing wrong? The Whirlpool email message gave me a number I can call between 8-5 Monday-Friday (of course it's the weekend now), so I will call them bright and early tomorrow and tell them they can take this washer and shove it. Unless they can set up an actual customer service office that can assist customers when they have problems, I WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER WHIRLPOOL PRODUCT EVER.

  1. So, what happened with your washer? My 9 month old Whirlpool fridge quit before Thanksgiving 2014. It is now 3/25/15 and it still isn't fixed...oh, it has been "fixed" for maybe 4 days and then everything thaws out again. Yeah...will not have a Whirlpool EVER nor any of their products like Maytag, Kitchenaid, ANY...
